Statesmen Park Tailgating
Tailgating in Statesmen Park has become a Pig Pickin’ tradition. Anyone and everyone is invited to set up a tent and hang out. While you’re in the park, enjoy the live entertainment on the main stage, participate in a pep rally with the Delta State cheerleaders and marching band, and grab a treat from one of the food vendors. And don’t forget to stop by the Alumni Association tent to purchase a BBQ plate and pick up some Delta State swag!
Spaces in the Open Tailgating area are available on a first-come, first-served basis. No need to register - just show up with your tent and chairs!

Tailgating Guidelines
Pig Pickin' is a family-friendly tradition that welcomes alumni, students, families, and friends to campus. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please observe the following guidelines:
Keep it family-friendly: All tailgaters are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and appropriately.
Glass containers are prohibited: No glass bottles or containers are permitted in Statesmen Park.
Keep music appropriate: Music is welcome but must not contain excessive profanity, vulgarity, or other offensive content and should be played at a respectful volume.
Be a good neighbor: Please be respectful of nearby tailgates and keep pathways and emergency access routes clear at all times.
Clean up after your group: Dispose of all trash before leaving your tailgate area.
Follow event staff instructions: All tailgaters must comply with directions from university officials, Alumni Association staff, and campus police.
The Delta State University Alumni Association reserves the right to remove individuals or groups that fail to comply with these guidelines or otherwise compromise the safety or enjoyment of the event.
